Alexios Mar Eusebius

Metropolitan

Beloved in the Lord,

I am delighted to remind you about the two significant events in our diocesan calendar which will be held in the month of October, 2024. The Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam Global Conference and the birth centenary celebrations of Late Lamented H. G. Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius of blessed memory.

The Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam Global Conference scheduled from October 12-14, 2024, which is part of the birth centenary celebrations of Theodosius Thirumeni, is an event of a magnitude that has never been hosted by the diocese of Calcutta. This conference apart from equipping the women of our church to be more effective in their roles within the family, church and society, is an opportunity for them to know more about the great visionary father of our church and his village mission.

Theodosius Thirumeni inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s observation ‘the soul of India lives in its villages’ set out to evangelise rural India, by empowering and uplifting the poor through his educational revolution.

During the birth centenary celebrations of Late Lamented H.G. Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius, to reiterate our commitment to fulfill his ideals, we have envisioned to revitalise his dream projects, the Makodiya Village Mission Project, Santhome Training Press, Bhilai and the Mar Theodosius Memorial Mission Centre, Pathamuttom.

As we prepare to organise these great events, we request your earnest and wholehearted cooperation and support. Your participation in every aspect is essential for the success of these events, which will uphold and enhance the reputation and honour of the Calcutta diocese. Your contributions for this souvenir will be greatly valued and appreciated.

May the Love, Grace and the Communion of the Holy Trinity be with you all forever and ever, Amen.

Your Shepherd in our Lord,

Alexios Mar Eusebius
Metropolitan

At this mega event we gather as a global family, united in our faith and our commitment to serving the Lord.

As we come together from different parts of the world, we are reminded that our struggles and triumphs are shared, and our bond in Christ is unbreakable. Let us celebrate our diversity and our unity, our traditions and our innovations, our local endeavors and our global impact.
Let us pray for one another, support each other and celebrate the gift of our shared faith and fellowship. May God bless our time together and guide us in our journey as disciples of Christ.

It gives me an immense pleasure to be a part of the hosting team of the Malankara Orthodox Marth Mariam Vanitha Samajam Global Conference 2024. I hope and pray that this conference will unite us from every corner of the world to engage in transformative discussions and visionary planning for both the Church and our broader society. This gathering will offer a rich array of sessions, workshops, and keynote addresses designed to ignite our faith, spirit, challenge and cultivate collaborative solutions.

As we prepare for this significant event, we humbly request your prayers and support, rooted in the letter of St. Paul to Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Let us prepare our hearts and minds, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit to ensure this conference reflects His grace and truth.

Let us unite in faith and purpose to glorify God and enrich our collective mission.
